Description

Oblong brown book cloth Japanese style binding tied with brown thread. Label on Cover reads "University of St Andrews, Collection of Photographs of the residents in St Leonards Hall 1861-1873." cont."A college hall for men students, was founded by Prin. J.D. Forbes in 1861, this being the first step in the restoration of the residential system in the Scottish Universities and in 1866-67 St. Leonards Hall was built".
All photographs pasted down on on brown card. Pages scored for folding. Inscriptions under each image in manuscript listing student names and year. Title tags also pasted down on album pages.
