The photographic archive of Jan Read, Scottish Spanish history and wine writer, filmaker, photographer, and University of St Andrews graduate. The collection contains photographic exhibition prints from circa 1930s in pictorialist and modernist style in addition to family photographs, albums, and extensive documentation of Spanish winemaking practices. The photographic holdings span various geographic regions including France, Germany, Spain, and also feature mountaineering views thought to be of Jan Read's brother Arthur. In addition to photographic prints and albums, numerous negatives as well as early colour transparencies are included in the holdings.
