Description

This Scottish collection is centred round the interests and enthusiams of the Collier family who came from Cupar, Fife. The images show family and friends partaking in a number of sporting and outdoor activities and fancy dress or amateur theatricals. There are a few images of landscapes and buildings, most being views of coronation celebrations in Cupar with a few views of Edinburgh and other holiday scenes.

John Collier collection consists of 300 glass negatives from around 1910. Amateur photography of family, holidays, coronation celebrations in Cupar plus scenes in St Andrews and views from the Scott Monument, Edinburgh.
