Description

Brown leather binding diagonally incised lines. Horizontal band highlighted with gold lines runs across center of album all the way round. Band inscribed on front. "To Mr. and Mrs. David Hay on the occasion of their golden wedding Anniversary, 26th January 1888." Front clasp with three pillars.
Slip in album for cabinet cards and carte de visite. Pages are heavy gray card with gold printed decorative frames. Some pages have elaborately lithographed scenes surrounding the windows. Scenes may symbolize the seasons. Windows vary in shape and number from oval to those with rounded corners. Windows also vary in placement on page. Pages vary from 1-4 windows per page. Pages hinged with linen.
