Description

Brown cloth bound album. 60 pages (four blank). Mostly albumen prints of New Zealand topography, geology, rivers, ports, plantations, sheep farms, townships, peoples and mountaineering. Front free endpaper has handwritten in ink details pertaining to land mass, demography, geology, climate, industries and products. Eight smaller prints (postcard size) featuring Maori heads and ceremonial carvings. Photographic publishers include Wheeler & Son Ch.Ch.; Burton Bros., Dunedin [NZ]. One loose copy print of Cage Deep Creek Skippers, Wakatipu, as pasted in. Loose shipping map showing lines of communication carried on steamers of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company.
