Group of men, some on ladders, lifting a crucified man down from a wooden cross towards three woman, one with her head covered. The men are dressed in flowing robes and are placing a winding sheet around the body of Christ. Two of the women have their heads uncovered. The crown of thorns is placed in a metal dish, with a manuscript weighted down by a rock beside it.
