Timbered building and tower over river. 'Text: 'Nürnburg lies in central Bavaria on the River Pegnitz. Perhaps the great glory of the ancient city of the Meistersinger lies in its claim to be the principle fount of German art. It claims such names as Adam Krafft,Veit Stoss, Hans Sachs, and Albrecht Durer. It is a city of narrow and crooked streets, timbered houses and red tiled roofs. The architecture is generally gothic, but the rich details which are lavished in the interior courts are usually borrowed from the renaissance.'
