Descriptive titles

Painting of a river with castle and town.

Description

Landscape with wide river flowing past a fortified hill, under a multi arched bridge and past a town into the sea. Castle with round towers (is one a Martello tower?) at the angles and wall leading down to the river's edge protecting the walled town behind it. Church towers rise up above the roofs of the town houses. An overshot watermill stands in the valley at left. A fishing net loops out from the river shore below the castle and sailing vessels are at the river mouth.
