Lesson slide of twelfth century Islamic (Scilian or Spanish) silk twill textile decorated with motif of confronting peacocks and kufic inscription, taken from page of book. Next to image is a description of object: '157 Women silk bearing confronted peacocks and a kufic inscription. Together with fragments in the Victoria and Albert Museum and in Toulouse Cathedral, it is one of the finest pieces of Spanish textile weaving. Twelfth century'.
