This series is composed of the films, contact prints (arranged in albums 1-9) and prints taken with a Leica camera that Sir Daivd bought in 1929. Within the manuscript holdings there are Sir David's notes on the type of film used, the exposure and whether enlargements were ordered, this gives a wealth of additional information for the images. With in the Leica film series there are missing films and contact prints - for example Volume 2 is missing but the films that relate to the volume exist. The Leica negatives are numbered L1 to L229. There are 15 films which are unnumbered and are not related to an album of contact prints.
