Description
1. Photograph of what appears to be a Charities Procession, in horse-drawn wagons, on Market Street, St Andrews. Costume suggests 1920s. 2. Photograph of a group of students having fun, c.1942-49. A list of names is given on the reverse, and it is stamped 'Copyright, Alex C. Cooper, 40 South Methven Street, Perth'. 3. Photograph of W.L. Davidson (centre) with two fellow students, seated on the steps of 79 North Street, c.1942-49. 4. Formal photograph of W.L. Davidson (front left), with four fellow students, c.1942-49. On the reverse is the name Jack Currie. Photograph printed by E.W. & D.F. Parken, Station Road Leven and 2 Bell Street St Andrews. 5. University group photograph (rolled up), c.1946-49. Walter Lamb Davidson is by the second doorway from the right, near the back with his hands leaning on someone's shoulder. To his right is his brother, Alexander Steele Davidson, also a chemistry graduate, returning to St Andrews after serving in the RAF during the war. 6. Photocopy of a photograph of the tower, St Salvator's College, with students in the foreground, amongst them W.L. Davidson, c.1942-49. There is a personal note by Mrs F. Whitton (Davidson's daughter) in pencil along the bottom, and she has provided a list of names of the people. 7. Graduation photograph of W.L. Davidson, BSc Hons, second class, Chemistry, 1946.
