- Title
- RM Adam half plate negative series
- Description
- This series of glass negatives were all taken using a half plate camera, while the vast majority were taken using a camera made by Watson & Son, that Adam bought in 1908, a few (20) images were taken with another 1/2 plate camera. Adam used this camera thoughout the rest of his life recording the Scottish landscape, its people and the plants that were to be found growing in the country. During the 1920s and 1930s Adam used two other smaller cameras alongside the 1/2 plate camera but after the mid 1930s this camera was his sole means of recording the Scottish landscape, its people and wildlife in the depth and detail that he demanded of his work.
